My experiances with Arnie

The first time I met Arnie was I think around 1977 at the old Orlando Citrus bowl at the annual Citrus Bowl football game. He came walking up the aisle from below and my wife and I had seats on the aisle. I recognized him and stood up said hello Mr.Palmer and reached out my hand. He took it, shook it and said glad to meet you and your wife. An unforgetable momentin my life.. Over the years we watched Arnie many times on a Saturday and Sunday playing golf. Cheering him on and feeling his hurt when he did not win.. Just 3 years ago at the annual Father / Son golf tournament we were walking around and we were stopped by a gentelman doing interviews about Arnie. They taped me saying I had been in Arnie's army since the 60's. Lo and behold when the television special came out the next year there at about the start of "Arnie and me" at about 8 minutes in is me Glenn Carter with a rerun of what I had said. My wife and I watched it over and over again and to this day we still remember that and have it preserved on a disc. We watched it again when we heard of Arnie passing and his memory will be forever etched in our hearts and minds. Thank you for this chance to say a few words in his memory. Glenn and Joann Carter
