Went to a tournament in California in 1988, saw Arnie coming off the 18th green at La Costa, had my pen and picture of him in the program ready for him to sign. I had my request all memorized, was very nervous to speak to him...Some jumped in front of me, and said to him, " Arnie you're my biggest fan  ! " He smiled and  said, "Oh, I didn't know that . " Then signed for them . He saw me waiting and he signed for me and we both laughed  at the faux pax, by the previous fan.
